img_7608As I was driving home from dinner tonight the song “God of this City” by Chris Tomlin came on the radio and really made think. I’ve heard it a thousands times before but for some reason, in this season, it is different. The line in particular, really struck a chord.

🎵For greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this city 🎵⠀

For the last 7 of 10 years we’ve lived in Charlotte, my heart has ached to try somewhere new. I’m an adventurer at heart with the worst case of wanderlust, always pulling me in different directions. My husband will tell you that I like change just for the sake of change.⠀

About 6 years ago, a friend told me she had read Malcom Gladwell’s book, The Tipping Point, and determined I’m a “connector”. I didn’t know what that meant at the time but I looked it up and wasn’t so sure she was right. I wanted to be a maven. Looking back on it now though, she couldn’t have been more accurate in her assessment. ⠀

I have always loved learning the stories of someone’s life and I love people so deeply. I have unintentionally and literally been collecting the sweetest acquaintances the entire time we’ve been in Charlotte. What is so exciting about this is that so many of them are doing incredible things with the gifts He has given them. Some have also faced devastating trials and I hope to share those too. When you’re in a hard place, you need to know you’re not alone. The others have been there before you can help encourage you with their journeys.

My favorite part about this curated space, is that I will be able to connect you and share all of these incredible stories with you. I can see now, this is why we couldn’t leave Charlotte. The Lord is doing something big here right now and it’s truly unbelievable. I know I will look back on this time, in this city, in AWE of all the different ways He used people for His kingdom. In my heart of hearts I know He kept us here for a greater purpose, REVIVAL. Until He’s finished with me, I’m going to keep following those little nudges, showing up where He directs and documenting in between. I hope you’ll be there with me, I’d be honored to share this journey with you.

Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”⠀
