Our family started Fall season off with a bang by camping with friends for a weekend in western North Carolina. On the way home we stopped at an orchard to take the kids apple picking. They had the BEST time and today we decided to enjoy the fruits of their labor. I wanted to share the gluten free and dairy free apple crisp recipe I chose to follow. The Minimalist Baker calls for a 9×9 pan and I only have an 8×8 so I did run into a little bit of an issue with the crust once I decided to spread it all out into my 9×12. The crust became too thin for that size pan. Next time, I’ll just use less apples so it will easily fit into my 8×8. Beginner’s tip- ha!
